On 21 July 2026, the Indonesian House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat/DPR) passed the law establishing the Indonesia International Financial Center (Pusat Finansial Internasional Indonesia or "PFII"). Mandated by Article 248A of Law No. 4 of 2026 (which amended Law No. 4 of 2023 on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector, commonly known as the P2SK Law), the framework requires the PFII to be governed by dedicated law. However, as of now, the official final text of the law governing PFII has not yet publicly available.
