Heru is the former regional legal counsel for General Electric Company covering healthcare business for South East Asia. Previously, he was the senior counsel at newly-acquired GE Grid Solutions and GE Global Growth & Operations.
With experience as in-house counsel and numerous years working for prominent law firms in Indonesia, Heru has significant experiences and exposures to a number of notable transactions in different businesses. Heru is focusing mainly on general corporate and commercial, mergers & acquisition, foreign investment, infrastructure, and healthcare matters.
Since 2011, Heru has been consistently recognized by leading legal institutions, with accolades from Legal500 as Recommended Lawyer, Asian Legal Business’ Indonesia Rising Star, to Hukumonline’s In-House Counsel Choice. Heru graduated from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan and is a Master of Law candidate at Universitas Indonesia.
During Indonesia’s recent presidential election, Heru served as lawyer for presidential candidate Ganjar-Mahfud. He played a pivotal role in shaping and executing legal strategy while managing complex and high-stakes legal matters in a nationally significant campaign. He was also actively engaged in court proceedings and became a key legal voice, frequently sought after for interviews by both national and local news media.
